Prof. Sang Baichuan: Signals from China-U.S. talks

The high-level China-U.S. trade talks that ended in Washington on Jan. 31 have made "substantial progress," meaning a step closer to seal a deal. The positive signal boosted the world's confidence in China and the U.S. to resolve trade disputes through negotiation.  Read the story>>

Professor Sang Baichuan, dean of UIBE's Institute for International Economy, said China has always addressed the trade disputes between China and the U.S. by deepening reform and opening up, and as a matter of fact, some of the U.S. structural concerns are consistent with the fundamental requirements of China's reform, opening up and development.
