UIBE experts team appreciated by MOFCOM

Recently, UIBE received a letter of appreciation from the General Office of Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), for the contribution of the experts team led by Vice President Lin Guijun and Vice President Zhao Zhongxiu for their excellent work for the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders Meeting.

On November 10-11, 2014, with the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders Meeting held successfully in Beijing, the APEC China 2014 came to a conclusion. In its letter of appreciation, MOFCOM stated that UIBE worked closely with MOFCOM, to have elaborately programmed, meticulously carried out, and steadily promoted the blueprints & proposals of FTAAP, GVC, and Renewable and Clean Energy, and in assisting MOFCOM successfully holding the Renewable and Clean Energy Public-Private Dialogue during the 3rd high official meeting, and the proposal of which was passed by the Economic Leaders Meeting. In the process of preparation, Vice President Lin Guijun, Vice President Zhao Zhongxiu, Professor Tu Xinquan and Associate Professor Wang Bo had made great efforts in policy study, document drafting, negotiating with the outside and meeting arrangements, and contributed heavily for the realization of the relevant outcomes.

The APEC Meeting yielded abundant fruits, and more than 30 initiatives, announcements and other outcomes in the economic and trade fields including FTAAP, GVC, Connectivity and Economic & Technological Cooperation were passed, and a remarkable “China Stamp” was branded in the APEC development, thus initiated a fresh process of Asia-Pacific economic and trade cooperation.

MOFCOM greatly appreciated UIBE’s contribution of last year and expects UIBE would continue playing a constructive and leading role, that both would work together to realize the serial accomplishments of APEC China 2014,to make new, greater contribution to Asia-Pacific economic cooperation.
