The 10th DaiChun Cup Japanese Speech Contest was held at Communication University of China on April 9, 2016. In total 393 students from Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and the other 23 universities and colleges in Beijing and Tianjin took part in this competition.
Eventually only 16 made it to the final round. Quan Xuezhu from School of Foreign Studies at UIBE, came second in this fierce competition. She was awarded a one-week study tour to Japan.
Hosted by Daichun Corporation and Communication University of China, the DaiChun Cup Japanese Speech Contest is now in its 10th year. It is co-sponsored by the Beijing Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China Radio International, and the Japanese Embassy in China.
Ding Junjie, the Prexy of Advertisement School of Chinese Medium University []said this contest not only offered an opportunity for Japanese learners to demonstrate their skills but also enhanced communication between China and Japan. President of Daichu Corporation stated that young people are the main force to improve the relationship between China and Japan and that he hoped for a promising future for the two countries.
