On May 9, aimed to collect suggestions on the Draft of Anti-Unfair Competition Law Amendment, the Anti-Unfair Competition Center of UIBE held this seminar. Professor Huang Yong from UIBE Law School was the host and nearly 70 lawyers from relative institutions and firms participated in the meeting.

The Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council has issued the Draft of Anti-Unfair Competition Law Amendment since February in 2016. Jurists debated heatedly on the terms and regulations of "commercial bribery", "the protection of trade secret", "dominant position abuse", and "investigation procedure" and so on, then offered advice on this amendment.

Officials from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council listened to those advice of relative jurists from Peking University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology and talked with them. Jiang Tianbo, the Head of Justice Department from SAIC, said that the old law has been out of time as the market keeps developing and changing. Not able to meet the demand of supervising and regulating, this law is strongly advised to be revised. Now the time is suitable. Hence we held this seminar to better understand the current conditions of entrepreneurs.

Professor Huang concluded this meeting: "We have collected a lot of good advice from entrepreneurs and jurists. These advice will be heard by the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, allowing us to get a whole picture of this amendment."
