UIBE delegation visits universities in Japan and Australia
A UIBE delegation led by President Wang Jiaqiong visited Fukuyama University and Tokyo Keizai University in Japan, and Australia's Victoria University and Western Sydney University in March.

On March 22, President Wang Jiaqiong attended the 9th Congress of the Confucius Institute at Fukuyama University. The institute was jointly set up by Shanghai Normal University, Fukuyama University and UIBE.
President Wang praised the achievements which the institute has made in the past year, and said UIBE will make use of its advantageous resources to better support the development of the institute.
On March 23, the delegation visited Tokyo Keizai University. Kenichi Sakai, President of Tokyo Keizai University, highly valued the cooperation with UIBE for over 30 years and expressed intent to further promote the cooperation between the two universities.

On March 27, the delegation visited Western Sydney University. Professor Scott Holmes, Deputy Vice-chancellor of Western Sydney University, Linda Taylor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Professor Peter Hutchings welcomed the delegation. Professor Scott Holmes hoped that the two universities could deepen their communication and cooperation to jointly cultivate talents. President Wang hoped the two sides could establish a mechanism to foster talents together and promote people to people exchanges and carry out more cooperation on scientific research projects.
On March 29, the delegation attended the 2nd Congress of the Confucius Institute at Victoria University. Peter Dawkins, President of the Victoria University and Steve Berridge, Vice President of the university also attended the meeting. President Wang hoped that the institute could integrate the teaching of business Chinese and research of economic policies. (By Li Na)
