Wolfgang Schüssel, former Chancellor of Austria visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and delivered a speech on May 17, 2017.

UIBE President Wang Jiaqiong welcomed Mr. Wolfgang Schüssel and his delegation. Wang hoped that UIBE could take this opportunity to promote the economic and cultural communication between universities in China and Austria.

Mr. Wolfgang Schüssel said he hoped universities from both countries could deepen communication and jointly cultivate talents.

Mr. Wolfgang Schüssel then delivered a speech titled "Perspectives of the Sino-European Relationship." He elaborated on topics including China's Belt and Road Initiative, globalization and international cooperation. He said strengthened cooperation between China and Europe would greatly benefit the world and have a profound influence on the political and economic order of the world. (By Li Na)
