Seminar on Portuguese-speaking countries held in UIBE

 The annual seminar on Portuguese-speaking countries was held at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on November 27, 2017.

Jointly host by UIBE’s Center for Studies on China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, the Brazilian Institute of China and Asia-Pacific Studies and the International Institute of Macau, discussions focused on what measures China and Portuguese-speaking countries should take to address international challenges based on the theme of “Dialogue and Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries in the 21st Century”.

 

UIBE vice president Zhao Zhongxiu gave a welcoming address and announced a name change of the university’s Center for Studies on Portuguese-speaking Countries into the Center for Studies on China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

The center invited more than 50 institutes and over 80 experts and scholars to join its studies in this field at the conference. The move is expected to promote the business cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
