Pr. Michael Spence, 2001 Nobel laureate in economics, honorary dean of Stanford University Business School, and emeritus professor of University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), visited UIBE in Beijing on March 25, 2018.

He launched UIBE’s disciplinary innovation and intelligence base (known as the “111 program” base) for its global value chain research and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Jobs, Digital Technology and Economic Restructuring.”

Party secretary Jiang Qingzhe of UIBE met with Pr. Michael Spence. Jiang appreciated Spence’s great contribution to UIBE’s international approach in teaching and disciplinary development.
