The UIBE held an open day to introduce the university’s admission policy on May 19. More than 2,000 high school students, who are going to sit the national college entrance exams in June, and their parents attended the open day activities.
The UIBE staff in charge of undergraduate admissions introduced the university’s strengths, characteristics and graduate careers to the students and their parents. The admissions office also detailed the university’s 2018 admission guidelines.
Wang Jiaqiong, UIBE president, and Wen Jun, UIBE deputy Party chief, were present and talked with the students and their parents. They highlighted that the university has always been a flagship in China to cultivate global-minded elite talents, and hoped that the candidates can gain a deeper knowledge of the university and choose the right major according to their own practical conditions.
A mother of a student surnamed Ju, who is from Beijing, said UIBE’s biggest attraction comes from its advantages in subjects related to finance, economics, business and trade, as well as its cooperation with foreign schools.
The university also broadcasted the event live on the internet. (Li Yang)
