The 15th international conference of the Society for Global Business & Economic Development (SGBED) was held at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) from June 8 to 10, 2018.

Co-hosted by the Society for Global Business & Economic Development and the International Business School of UIBE, the meeting attracted international experts and scholars specializing in sustainable development, knowledge management and innovation, financial management and investment. They engaged in various dialogues and exchanges on cutting-edge theories and viewpoints in these fields.

Vice president Zhang Xinmin of UIBE said in his opening speech that SGBED had helped thousands of associations and companies develop their international networks, the benefits of which would last for lifetime.

Co-founded by Montclair State University, UIBE and Curtin University of Technology, SGBED held its first international conference in UIBE in 1997.

Compared to the past, China has made great progress by shifting the role from attracting foreign investment to a foreign investment giant, said former UIBE vice president Lin Guijun, speaking at the event.

Professor Samir Ranjan Chatterjee and professor Piyush Sharma of Curtin University of Technology, professor Vesa Routamaa of Vaasa University and professor Na Pengjie of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics also made keynote speeches.
