Dr. Anders Karlsson, Elsevier's Vice President of Global Academic Relations, visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on September 19, 2018.

UIBE president Wang Jiaqiong held talks with him. Wang introduced UIBE’s school-running characteristics, talents cultivation, research achievements and development visions.

He hoped that Elsevier and UIBE could deepen exchanges and cooperation in expanding the university’s presence in international academic exchanges, introducing international academic resources, promoting the ideological achievements of Chinese scholars worldwide, and enhancing the Chinese scholars’ say among the global academic community.

Dr. Anders Karlsson said that Elsevier attaches great importance to the cooperation with the UIBE. The two sides agreed on more cooperation in expanding UIBE journal’s international influence and convening international academic conference as well as academic data analysis.

Founded in 1880 as a publishing company, Elsevier is a Dutch information and analytics company and one of the world's major providers of scientific, technical, and medical information. More than 350,000 papers (including academic papers in philosophy and social sciences) are published annually in over 2,000 Elsevier journals.
