Ding Wenli, assistant to the president of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), met a delegation led by Randy Frisch, president of the City University of Seattle (CityU) on Oct. 25.
Ding recalled the achievements of the two sides in their cooperation projects and introduced to the delegation the development and future plans for the UIBE Qingdao Campus in eastern China's Shandong province. Ding said she expected cooperation in more fields with CityU.
Mr. Frisch offered his congratulation on the development of the Qingdao Campus and praised the excellent work of UIBE in education and project management. He also promised that the CityU would pay closer attention to their cooperation projects with the introduction of more investment.
Angelos Kotios, rector of the University of Piraeus in Greece, led a delegation to visit UIBE on Oct. 25. Ding welcomed the delegation and introduced UIBE's current development. Ding also hoped there would be more cooperation projects between the two sides.
Angelos Kotios said that Piraeus, where his campus is located, is the final destination of China's Maritime Silk Road, playing an important role in communication between Eastern and Western civilizations. He hoped the two sides would be able to carry out cooperation and communication in areas such as discipline building, joint scientific research and think tank development.
