UIBE President Xia Wenbin met with Irsaliyev Serik Aztayevich, president of Kazakhstan's Astana International University (AIU) on Oct. 25.

The two sides reached a strong consensus on inter-university cooperation and jointly establishing the China-Kazakhstan College of Trade and Economics.

President Xia Wenbin expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation and communication in the discipline of trade and economics between the two universities through the new college. He said he was confident about future cooperation.

According to Irsaliyev Serik Aztayevich, AIU is a private multidisciplinary university with remarkable achievements in business and trade-related disciplines. The AIU president hoped the two sides could strengthen communications, deepen cooperation and speed up joint construction of the new college.

At the meeting, UIBE and AIU signed an agreement on jointly establishing the China-Kazakhstan College of Trade and Economics.
