National Institute of Development Administration visits UIBE and Signs a Memorandum of Understanding

 

     

    School News Network On the morning of January 28, 2016, Palade Vanella, President of National Institute of Development Administration, led a delegation of two vice-presidents and several deans for an official visit to UIBE. Zhao Zhongxiu, Vice President of UIBE, Han Weichun, Dean of School of International Education, Li Xiaomeng, Deputy Director of Department of International Relations, attended the meeting. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) on the same day.





    Established in 1966, National Institute of Development Administration( NIDA ) is the only higher educational institution which provides postgraduate education in Thailand. NIDA is also one of the most famous public universities in Thailand under the Commission on Higher Education, the Ministry of Education. It enjoys a very good reputation in Thailand and internationally, and is highly favored by the Thai royal family. NIDA has always been dedicated to cultivating talents for international trade, which is leading the other Asian universities in this respect. In addition, NIDA is also renowned for possessing largest ratio of PhD teachers and excellent faculties among Thailand universities. At present, it has seven colleges: the College of Public Management, the School of Business Administration, the School of Applied Statistics, the College of Trade Development, the College of Language and Communication, the School of Social and Environmental Development and the School of Human Resource Development. Various postgraduate and doctoral courses are also offered.




 

    Through several exchanges and negotiations, UIBE and NIDA formally signed the MOU at this official visit. The NIDA delegation firstly had an agreeable discussion and exchange with School of International Education, having an objective and detailed understanding of the overall situation of international students studying in China, and the experience of Thai students at UIBE. Following the signing ceremony was held at the VIP reception hall at the Administrative Building. On behalf of President Shi Jianjun, Vice President Zhao Zhongxiu extended a warm welcome to the delegation and then had a cordial discussion. Then two sides exchanged MOU texts and presents and took a picture together.





    Thailand is one of the major sources of international students studying at UIBE and there is great development space in cooperation on Chinese and English degree program. Therefore, signing a MOU will promote the practical cooperation between UIBE and Thailand’s best economic university, and motivate more Thai students to come to UIBE for further study. The School of International Education will also actively have further discussion about the specific cooperation project agreement, strive to facilitate the mutual understanding and joint cultivation program of teachers and students between the two sides, increase the number of excellent Thai students pursuing advanced studies at UIBE and further improve relations between Chinese and Thai universities.
