Mexican ambassador to China José Luis Berna, together with a delegation from Mexico’s CETYS University, visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on June 18, 2017.
UIBE party chief Jiang Qingzhe spoke with the ambassador and introduced the school’s international approach to teaching and interdisciplinary training. UIBE is already cooperating with a number of Mexican universities in the areas of faculty and student exchanges as well as academic research.
As part of the visit, UIBE and CETYS signed a MOU of academic cooperation. Ambassador Berna commented that the MOU will boost cross-cultural communication and academic research between both sides.
Jiang said the signing of the MOU would be a new start for the two universities to expand their bilateral cooperation.
CETYS Vice President Alberto Garate spoke highly of the achievements UIBE had made since its establishment as well as the school’s unique features of openness and inclusiveness. He said CETYS focused on the innovative development of its various disciplines and academic research and hoped the signing of MOU would further promote exchanges between the two sides.
