Israeli Ambassador to China Irit Ben-Abba visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on Nov. 17.
Party chief of UIBE, Jiang Qingzhe, welcomed the guests and introduced the university's branch in Israel. Jiang expressed his hope that the ambassador's visit would deepen communications and exchanges between UIBE and Israeli universities, and increase China-Israel cooperation on education, science, technology and culture.
UIBE President Xia Wenbin introduced the university’s cooperation and exchange with Israeli universities. With the support of the Israeli Embassy in China and Ben-Abba, he is confident that the university will engage in greater practical cooperation with universities in Israel and substantially boost progress in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ben-Abba expressed her thanks to UIBE, and spoke highly of the university's initiative to establish a branch in Israel. She agreed that China and Israel have a good foundation for cooperation in the humanities, education, agriculture, science and technology.
The Israeli Embassy to China is ready to provide necessary assistance to UIBE to expand academic exchanges with outstanding universities in Israel so as to deepen UIBE's cooperation with top Israeli universities, the ambassador said.
The Israeli delegation also toured the UIBE Museum during the visit.
