Dr. Florika Fink-Hooijer, director general for DG Interpretation of European Commission  (SCIC), visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on Nov. 7, 2017.

President Wang Jiaqiong of UIBE met Dr. Fink-Hooijer. Wang thanked SCIC for its support of the program of China-Europe Advanced Interpreter Training Center jointly founded the EU and the UIBE.

Dr. Fink-Hooijer said the program won a good reputation by adhering to high standards and strict requirements and hoped to expand deep cooperation with the UIBE on basis of the existing cooperation platform and resources.

Dr. Fink-Hooijer then delivered a speech titled "Multilingualism in Action – Interpreting in the European Union."
