A delegation of St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) headed by its Rector Igor A. Maksimtsev visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on January 18.

UIBE President Zhao Zhongxiu met with Prof. Maksimtsev. Prof. Zhao introduced the latest the development of the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities (ASREU) and emphasized the university's commitment to high-quality education and international cooperation.

Notably, the two universities have established numerous fruitful collaborations within the frameworks of the ASREU and the Russian-Chinese Associations of Specialized Universities, Zhao said.

This year marks the launch of the China-Russia Years of Culture, spanning from 2024 to 2025. President Zhao hoped that UIBE and UNECON would explore innovative ways to deepen their cooperation, contributing to educational exchange and fostering the innovative development of both countries.

Rector Maksimtsev, echoing Zhao, noted the importance of international exchanges and cooperation for the UNECON. He looked forward to further academic exchanges and collaborative projects within the ASREU through the delegation's visit, promoting talent cultivation and cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
