The annual conference of the China Association of International Trade and the International Trade Development Forum kicked off at the Shandong University of Finance and Economics in Ji'nan City, Shandong province on Nov. 16.

Jiang Qingzhe, party chief of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), attended the forum and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Jiang elaborated on the great strategic significance of fostering a new development paradigm with domestic and international circulations. He described why this strategy is important to play out in the context of a world that is undergoing deep changes not seen in a century.

In May 2018, UIBE signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Shandong province. The two sides are working closely in strategic decision-making consultation, research and high-end think tank development, talent training and exchange, and in the connectivity of competitive resources, Jiang said.
