2018-01-05 10:03:00

The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) was recently included in the national disciplinary innovation and intelligence plan of colleges and universities (known as the“111 program”) for its global value chain research in the charge of UIBE vice president Zhao Zhongxiu. There are 12 colleges and universities entering the “111 program” this year.

Jointly launched by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) in 2006, the program seeks to turn Chinese colleges and universities into world-class entities.

Targeting cutting-edge development of various international disciplines while still based on national key disciplines, the program is expected to introduce over 1000 outstanding talents from the top 100 most world-renowned universities and institutions to establish 100 world-class disciplinary innovation and intelligence labs, whose construction will be spread over five years.

Founded in 1951, UIBE is a multi-disciplinary and national key university with economics, management, law, literature and science as its core academic areas of expertise. Currently, it has established partnerships with over 160 overseas universities and international organizations.
