A Fairfield University delegation led by President Mark R. Nemec visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing on Feb. 25, 2019.
Welcoming the delegation, President Wang Jiaqiong of UIBE pointed out that currently China and the U.S. in particular need to expand academic exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and trust for mutually beneficial outcomes.
Wang introduced his school's characteristics in international teaching and interdisciplinary talents training and hoped deeper academic exchanges and cooperation with Fairfield University.
Recognizing the significance of cooperation between his school and the UIBE, President Nemec agreed that there is a good basis for the two sides to enhance cooperation in faculty exchanges, talent training and joint research.
UIBE and Fairfield University then signed a MOU of academic cooperation, a new start for the two universities to expand their bilateral cooperation.
